Description

A delicious slow cooker recipe featuring meatballs in a sweet and tangy sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen meatballs
  • 1 package frozen peppers and onions
  • 20 ounces pineapple chunks in juice
  • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Scallions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the meatballs and peppers and onions to the slow cooker.
  2. Drain the juice from your can of pineapple into a medium bowl.
  3. Add the pineapple to the slow cooker.
  4. Add the vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, and cornstarch to the pineapple juice and whisk until combined.
  5. Pour sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat.
  6. Cook on low for 3-4 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
  8. Serve!
