Description

A delicious raspberry cream cheese dough recipe perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup lukewarm milk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup softened butter
  • 1 bag of frozen raspberries
  • 1 lemon (zest only)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 3 ounces cream cheese (can be cold)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • juice of a 1/2 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. In a measuring cup, combine your warm milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and sprinkle the yeast over. Stir to combine.
  2. Let the mixture sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and remaining granulated sugar. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, softened butter, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Once risen, roll out the dough and fill with raspberries and cream cheese mixture before baking.
