This delicious caramelized onion puff pastry is perfect as an appetizer or main course.

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 3 medium yellow onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Transfer the pastry to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread caramelized onions evenly over it and top with shredded Gruyère cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm as an appetizer or main course.
