Description
This cornbread is a quick and easy recipe, perfect as a side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Spray a 9×9 baking pan with non stick spray.
- Combine all ingredients into a bowl. Stir well.
- Pour into your prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cornbread comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, and then cut and serve.

- This cornbread can be served warm or at room temperature.
- It pairs well with chili or soup.
