Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak
  • 1 cup fresh green beans
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Sear the steak in the hot skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  4. Reduce heat, add minced garlic and butter, basting the steak with the melted sauce.
  5. In another pot, blanch green beans in boiling water for about 3 minutes until bright green.
  6. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Toss the blanched green beans in the skillet to coat them in garlic butter.
  8. Serve everything on plates, drizzling any remaining sauce over the top.

Notes

  • Letting the steak rest is crucial for a tender bite.
