Description

Delicious homemade donuts, perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • as desired Food coloring
  • for decoration Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually blend into dry ingredients without overmixing.
  4. Roll dough to about ½ inch thick on a floured surface and cut out rings using a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with milk and food coloring for the glaze. Dip cooled donuts in glaze and sprinkle toppings.

Notes

  • Ensure the donuts are completely cooled before glazing to prevent the glaze from melting.
