Description
A delightful pie crust cookies recipe with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a sweet icing drizzle.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pie crust
- Cinnamon to taste
- Sugar to taste
- 1/4 Cup butter (Melted)
- 3 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Make the pie crust as indicated in recipe here.
- Roll crust out into a rectangular shape (make 2).
- Brush crust with melted butter. Do not put too much on as crust will not absorb it the way other doughs would.
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll into a long tube.
- Slice cookies about 1/2 inch thick and place on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 425° for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Add powdered sugar to a bowl, mix in small amounts of water until the desired consistency is reached. It should be thick, but thin enough to drizzle.
- Drizzle icing over cookies and allow it to harden.
Notes
- These cookies are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
- Adjust the sweetness of the icing to your preference.
