Description
Delicious cheddar-stuffed chicken patties that are juicy and flavorful, perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the chicken mixture into equal portions. Flatten each portion in your hand and place about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese in the center. Wrap the chicken mixture around the cheese, forming a sealed patty.
- Preheat the Pan: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the Patties: Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Check for Doneness: Ensure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F (74°C) to make sure they are fully cooked.
Notes
- Ensure the cheese is well-sealed within the patties to prevent it from leaking out during cooking.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper to the chicken mixture.
- Serve the patties with a side of fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
