Description

A creative and festive twist on classic deviled eggs, perfect for holiday gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • finely diced red bell pepper
  • for star toppers yellow bell pepper or cheese
  • for snow grated Parmesan cheese or shredded mozzarella
  • finely chopped fresh dill or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove from heat, and let sit for 9 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then peel.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Cut the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. In a bowl, mash the yolks with avocado until smooth. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  3. Assemble the Trees: Pipe or spoon the avocado mixture into the egg whites, forming a tree shape. Use a piping bag with a star tip for a more defined shape.
  4. Decorate: Add tiny pieces of red bell pepper as “ornaments” on the trees. Cut stars from yellow bell pepper or cheese slices and place them on top of each tree. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or mozzarella for a snowy effect. Optionally, add chopped dill or parsley around the base for greenery.

Notes

  • Use a very ripe avocado for a smoother texture.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, use a plastic bag with a corner snipped off.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the filling.
  • Prepare the deviled eggs a few hours in advance and refrigerate until serving.
