Description

A delicious and unique wrap combining ground beef and cherries for a flavorful twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for flavor)
  • 1 cup cherries (pitted and chopped)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add chopped cherries, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat and add a portion of the beef filling in the center.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce and cheese.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  6. In the same skillet, place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Slice the wraps in half and serve with sour cream on the side.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with black beans or lentils.
  • Make sure the cherries are well pitted to avoid any surprises.
